Adding custom case types

Adding Custom Case Types is a great way to keep different cases organised and also manage who can view each case, we implemented this feature to give the user complete control over which sensitive data can be seen by others.

All of these steps will be starting from the Dashboard.

  1. Go to The Cog via the top right menu and click Company Settings
  2. On the right side of the menu, there’s a lot of settings you can change, Find Case Types and click on it
  3. Now you’ll see the default case types, click the Create a New Case Type button
  4. Here you can name your custom Case Type, leave the parent as it is and click Save Changes

Now if you navigate to an existing case or create a new case you will see the Standard Case as well as the newly created one.
